In April 2025 I was awarded a Developing Your Creative Practice Grant from Arts Council England to explore Non-Verbal Theatre Making for Accessible Practice.

What does this mean?

It means I’ve been granted some money (and money = time) to:

1. Train in several non-verbal theatre practices - namely mime, clown and physical theatre

2. Collaborate with 2 companies with different approaches to making physical work, shadowing their processes and gaining mentorship

3. Complete an R&D with 2 performers to put my learning into practice

4. Create a blueprint for these initial investigations into physical theatre making & accessible process, which I will make public, here

I’ll be updating this page and my instagram as I work through the DYCP, sharing take aways and learnings from each stage of the process.
